Led the full-scale digital transformation of CalOptima.org to create a modern, accessible, and responsive healthcare platform serving a diverse user base. As Principal Product Designer, I applied human-centered design and WCAG/ADA compliance standards to create an intuitive, mobile-friendly platform that increased engagement, boosted mobile traffic, and significantly reduced customer service calls. I collaborated across product, compliance, and engineering teams to deliver meaningful improvements for one of California’s largest publicly funded health plans.
As the UX Manager overseeing the Aeris by iRobot website rebrand, I led the UX strategy, design system development, and cross-functional alignment to reposition the product within the broader customer journey. I partnered with senior stakeholders across product, brand, and engineering to align vision and execution, directing the creation of a scalable, Figma-based e-commerce design system. This system ensured ADA compliance, enhanced visual consistency, and optimized the end-to-end shopping experience—ultimately contributing to a 25% increase in conversions and stronger cross-platform engagement.
The CalOptima Report to the Community is traditionally a printed piece, but to reach a broader audience and highlight key milestones, the report went online in 2021. As the lead on this project, I was responsible for developing a proof of concept design showcasing interactive page animation and dynamic charts. Over the course of only a few weeks, this concept was then developed into a single page website showcasing the agency’s outreach achievements in the community. I was both designer and developer on this project, with responsibilities ranging from creating CSS stylesheets to configuring data for use with the charts.js plugin.
